The Best is Yet to Come

My week has been pretty exciting so far! Last Friday in ISM, we had to come up with our original work ideas. Original work is mainly coming up with your year long product to do for the rest of the ISM year. It is doing a bunch of research over something referring to your area of study, then you come up with a final product that will display your findings from your research and bring to life. For mine, I decided that my main focus is that I want to learn and have others learn about Corporate Law. The field is not very popular and it is kind of overlooked and not as glamorous as the other potential law pathways. My original work is structured around learning how corporate lawyers conduct business and why. I want to create a bunch of mock legal documents that corporation lawyers do and explain how I did it and why, so I can create some sort of curriculum for other students who are interested in law. It sounds very time consuming and tedious, but I want to assist others in the crazy world of finding a career path, because it can get overwhelming sometimes. Also, I am still on the hunt for research interviews, I am just waiting for responses and the suspense is killing me! I am getting closer and closer to meeting my future mentor and the process is getting very exciting! I cannot wait to bring my original work to life!
